Ressources and ... Contraband

Hi, Comrade Commanders,

Our Comrade Yeu VTH asked me to write something about "Contraband" and, as this is one of the fundamental purposes of this blog, here is what I find most relevant about this issue...

Coins and Alloy.

There isn't much I can say about these "traditional" resources, except that they should go along with your game plan. Let me explain what I meant: until just a few days, I never worried about these resources, because I could find them every time I needed them ... "steeling" from the rebel scum.
But this reality has changed for me, since I upgraded to HQ8!
Those who follow this blog already know that I had "complained" for being "matched" only with level 9 (or even 10) opponents. Anyhow, and until just a few days, I always succeeded winning my battles, therefore steeling enough resources to match my needs, but this reality has changed, and not only was I "forced" to escape Dandoran (the most populated and competitive planet), but I am also experiencing difficulties to win my attacks, resulting in a resource shortage.

I wish these words will make you become ever more careful, because this game we all love never ceases to surprise us, challenge us, and force us to question our strategies.

Contraband.

This third kind of resource "enters" the game only when you are at HQ6 level, and you'll need it to hire mercenaries and, more important, to build and upgrade your Droidekas.

If I remember well, it will start at level HQ6, where you can build your level 1 Contraband Safe house, which will have a max capacity of 12,000 contraband units.
At that moment, the most interesting part of the story is that you still cannot "produce" contraband: you can only steal it from the rebel scum!
If you succeed, and accumulate 12,000 contraband units, you'll be able to (remember that this is still at HQ6 level) build your Droideka Sentinel Platform (level 1)

If you succeed this accomplishment at HQ6 level (I did), you may congratulate yourself on a very good game play!

When you become HQ7, you'll be able to upgrade your Contraband Safe house (until level 4, with 100,000 capacity), which will be necessary for further upgrading the Droideka Sentinel (max level 10, while still HQ7) and, you will also be able to build your first (only one) Contraband Trade Port, thus starting to "produce" your own contraband units.
This "contraband producing factory" will be upgradable to level 3, while still as HQ7.

Being a very recent HQ8, I can only testify that, at HQ8 level, we'll be able to build one second "Contraband Trade Port" (in fact, a second contraband "factory"), but I still know nothing about the upgrading level limits of either the Contraband Safe house, the Contraband Trade Port(s) (max of 2), and the Droideka Sentinel (mine is at level 12, as for today).

And this is it, Comrades!
I would love to try and answer your questions and comments on this (and all the other) post, so ... just share your opinions and critics.

Have fun,
KOTALBU

P.S.: Comrade Yeu, hoping that this information will be useful to your game plan, I will ask for a "price" that you can "pay" for my "service": please comment, critic, and share your own experience in the other posts, because if you do that, you'll be adding value to this blog, and ... Thanks.

  1. What is a great post! Thank you, Kotalbu. My English is not good. I hope you will understand my question.
I see that now (at HQ 7) I can build my Contraband Trade Port with 810,000 credits. Can I start producing Contraband without Droideka Sentinel Platform and upgrading Contraband Safehouse?

    1. Yes, Yeu VTH,
I am sure that you can start producing contraband, if you build your first Trade Port, even without having the Droideka.
Anyhow, you must think that the Droideka will be very important for your game, because you can use it both in attack and defense.
      Have fun

    2. Thank you so much for your speedy reply. It's really difficult to earn Contraband by attacking others. Therefore, I wanted to know how to produce it and thank to your useful information, I understand it clearly.

A few words about ... Squad Wars

Hi, Comrade Commanders, Squad Wars is a subject that gathers a wide majority of players interests, and I confess that I do not, quite, understand why... I am too competitive (or serious, or committed, if you prefer these words), both in play and in life, to welcome something that is rarely well planned, usually poorly executed and, thus, one kind of "a leap of faith" towards a possible Victory that will result more of the opponents errors, rather than our own efficiency. At least, this has been my own experience in the 4 Wars my Squad has been involved in, with an even (terribly poor) result of 2 wins and 2 "not wins" (I hate the other word so much that I always try to escape it). Results of the Squad Wars One positive side of Squad Wars is that there are almost no disadvantages if your Squad doesn't win the War, while, on the other hand, the benefits of a Win are quite significant for the whole Squad because of the Reputational Points that Memb...

A few words about ... crates.

Hi, Comrade Commanders, This will be a very short post, although the issue "crates" is of first rate relevancy for our SWC online game. In short, I will tell you that, in my humble opinion, the amount of crates that you'll be able to acquire in play, will determine how well you will succeed. It is that simple! On account of the amount of resources that the crates can offer? Nope, not really! (please note that I am convinced that the best source of resources ... even better then your own alloy and coin factories ... is ... is ... exactly, it is the rebel scum!) Then, are crates fundamental for the segments that will allow you to "unlock" new infantry troops, vehicles or airplanes? In spite of the fact that some of these "weappons" are very important, I would still say that ... no, not really! Then what are crates so important for? For the segments that will allow you to, after you have your Armory (HQ6, if I remember it well), "upgra...

Why I left Turk Leyjonu.

Hi Comrade Commanders, I am writting this post to explain myself to my former Comrades in the TurkLeyjonu Squad, and, also, to present myself to my new Comrades, the Members of the KISSARMYEMPIRE Squad. Why did I leave? My former Comrades know, only too well, how hard I have worked for my previous Squad, where I was, proudly, an Officer for several months (10, I think), almost imeadiatelly after I joined. I donated 10,237 troops (received 2,668), invested 299 Rep. Points, and helped everyone as much as I could. That Squad was my "first love" and you've better believe me when I say that it was helish taking the decision of leaving. But I couln't take any more! Couldn't take any more bad examples from "above"! Couldn't take any more "silence" from above! and couldn' take any more lack of "professionalism" from above! I never have fun when I ... don't win (I hate the word so much that I try not to use it) And ...
