"FIND A MATCH"

Hi, Comrade Commanders, Don't you find a little "strange" that, when you want to attack, you click on a button that says ... "Find a Match"? It reminds me of the word "matchmaker" and it seems as if you were looking for a lover, when, in fact, you're going to make ... WAR, ahahah. Is this simply one bad choice (of wording) from the game's Authors? No, it is not ! It's something that should make you think about the "internal formulas" on which the game is structured, and make yourself simple questions like ... how does "the computer" choose my opponents (both in attack and defense)? Or, even better, does "the computer" evaluate my performance? The answer is quite simple:  yes, the game evaluates your performance (your base, your strength and your weaknesses) and, based on that, it selects your possible opponents in battle ! When you are a rookie in this game, you'll never be facing...

A few words about ... crates.

Hi, Comrade Commanders, This will be a very short post, although the issue "crates" is of first rate relevancy for our SWC online game. In short, I will tell you that, in my humble opinion, the amount of crates that you'll be able to acquire in play, will determine how well you will succeed. It is that simple! On account of the amount of resources that the crates can offer? Nope, not really! (please note that I am convinced that the best source of resources ... even better then your own alloy and coin factories ... is ... is ... exactly, it is the rebel scum!) Then, are crates fundamental for the segments that will allow you to "unlock" new infantry troops, vehicles or airplanes? In spite of the fact that some of these "weappons" are very important, I would still say that ... no, not really! Then what are crates so important for? For the segments that will allow you to, after you have your Armory (HQ6, if I remember it well), "upgra...

A few words about ... Squad Wars

Hi, Comrade Commanders, Squad Wars is a subject that gathers a wide majority of players interests, and I confess that I do not, quite, understand why... I am too competitive (or serious, or committed, if you prefer these words), both in play and in life, to welcome something that is rarely well planned, usually poorly executed and, thus, one kind of "a leap of faith" towards a possible Victory that will result more of the opponents errors, rather than our own efficiency. At least, this has been my own experience in the 4 Wars my Squad has been involved in, with an even (terribly poor) result of 2 wins and 2 "not wins" (I hate the other word so much that I always try to escape it). Results of the Squad Wars One positive side of Squad Wars is that there are almost no disadvantages if your Squad doesn't win the War, while, on the other hand, the benefits of a Win are quite significant for the whole Squad because of the Reputational Points that Memb...

First message about ... TROOP DONATIONS.

Hi, Comrade Commanders, Seven months after I started playing the Disney's Star Wars Commander (SWC) online game, I am even more fascinated with it then I was during the first playing hours: this game has everything to fully please "strategy games" fans. But I didn't decide to start this blog to advertise the immense qualities of the game. In fact, right or wrong, the SWC has such a complex structure that players would need to invest hundreds of reading/watching hours in tutorials to be sure of escaping dramatic errors, much less become capable of optimizing their game options. I must confess that it took me several weeks to really start understanding the "logic" of SWC basic algorithms, and I have red, only too often, other player's confessions stating that they had to close previous game accounts, in order to bypass ancient dramatic errors (learned from experience), in a simple option of the "let's restart this thing" kind. If they...
