Is this simply one bad choice (of wording) from the game's Authors? No, it is not ! It's something that should make you think about the "internal formulas" on which the game is structured, and make yourself simple questions like ... how does "the computer" choose my opponents (both in attack and defense)? Or, even better, does "the computer" evaluate my performance? The answer is quite simple: yes, the game evaluates your performance (your base, your strength and your weaknesses) and, based on that, it selects your possible opponents in battle ! When you are a rookie in this game, you'll never be facing...
