"FIND A MATCH"

Hi, Comrade Commanders,

Don't you find a little "strange" that, when you want to attack, you click on a button that says ... "Find a Match"?
It reminds me of the word "matchmaker" and it seems as if you were looking for a lover, when, in fact, you're going to make ... WAR, ahahah.

Is this simply one bad choice (of wording) from the game's Authors?
No, it is not!
It's something that should make you think about the "internal formulas" on which the game is structured, and make yourself simple questions like ... how does "the computer" choose my opponents (both in attack and defense)?
Or, even better, does "the computer" evaluate my performance?

The answer is quite simple: yes, the game evaluates your performance (your base, your strength and your weaknesses) and, based on that, it selects your possible opponents in battle!

When you are a rookie in this game, you'll never be facing "adult" players and vice versa. The game wouldn't be any fun at all if there was no "evaluation" and "matchmaking", don't you agree?

Now that you know that your performance is being evaluated, don't you think it is about time you wonder about the criteria based on which that evaluation is made?
And when you do that, how can you escape the idea that your HQ level is one of the fundamental elements in that evaluation?

I have, often, written (in our Squad's chatroom) that if you look at SWC as a "race to HQ10", you should consider it a marathon, not a sprint!
And we all know what happens to those who start a marathon at sprinting speed ... exactly, they'll never cross the finish line. And you'll be no exception!

What does the game's practice show?
How many "high HQ's" have you seen languish in some kind of medal bleeding? Fading out until they abandon the game?

I would love if some of those Comrades - those who have learned this reality the hard way - would leave some comments in this blog, so that youngsters wouldn't have to close their accounts and restart the game from scratch. Please, Comrades, the few minutes that it will take you to write down your experience, will save MONTHS to the more curious newcomers.

So, if you started playing SWC recently and you are very curious about "what happens when I upgrade my HQ" ... please, think twice, because you will be stepping towards the abyss!
It is a perfect example of ... curiosity killed the cat!

What can I tell you about my own game experience?

Well, I evaluate my performance as a very good one: I've reached 9k medals while still HQ7 and I can remember all the details of the last (rare, very rare) battles I did not win.
How does "the game" evaluate my performance?
It started "matching" me with HQ9's when I was, still, HQ6 (I posted several of those battles)!
I don't remember the last time I was "matched" with less than HQ9's and I already was matched to a few HQ10!!!
And this while still HQ7 (please remember that I just turned HQ8 ... 2 days ago).

Challenging?
Yes, very much!
How do I deal with it?
I think about it, learn and ... adapt!

Two things I can guarantee you: not only I am not cheater (I despise them), but, also, I never spent a single cent on this game.
You can buy your way up in SWC, but if you do ... you have already lost!

Have fun.

A few words about ... Squad Wars

Hi, Comrade Commanders, Squad Wars is a subject that gathers a wide majority of players interests, and I confess that I do not, quite, understand why... I am too competitive (or serious, or committed, if you prefer these words), both in play and in life, to welcome something that is rarely well planned, usually poorly executed and, thus, one kind of "a leap of faith" towards a possible Victory that will result more of the opponents errors, rather than our own efficiency. At least, this has been my own experience in the 4 Wars my Squad has been involved in, with an even (terribly poor) result of 2 wins and 2 "not wins" (I hate the other word so much that I always try to escape it). Results of the Squad Wars One positive side of Squad Wars is that there are almost no disadvantages if your Squad doesn't win the War, while, on the other hand, the benefits of a Win are quite significant for the whole Squad because of the Reputational Points that Memb...

A few words about ... crates.

Hi, Comrade Commanders, This will be a very short post, although the issue "crates" is of first rate relevancy for our SWC online game. In short, I will tell you that, in my humble opinion, the amount of crates that you'll be able to acquire in play, will determine how well you will succeed. It is that simple! On account of the amount of resources that the crates can offer? Nope, not really! (please note that I am convinced that the best source of resources ... even better then your own alloy and coin factories ... is ... is ... exactly, it is the rebel scum!) Then, are crates fundamental for the segments that will allow you to "unlock" new infantry troops, vehicles or airplanes? In spite of the fact that some of these "weappons" are very important, I would still say that ... no, not really! Then what are crates so important for? For the segments that will allow you to, after you have your Armory (HQ6, if I remember it well), "upgra...

Why I left Turk Leyjonu.

Hi Comrade Commanders, I am writting this post to explain myself to my former Comrades in the TurkLeyjonu Squad, and, also, to present myself to my new Comrades, the Members of the KISSARMYEMPIRE Squad. Why did I leave? My former Comrades know, only too well, how hard I have worked for my previous Squad, where I was, proudly, an Officer for several months (10, I think), almost imeadiatelly after I joined. I donated 10,237 troops (received 2,668), invested 299 Rep. Points, and helped everyone as much as I could. That Squad was my "first love" and you've better believe me when I say that it was helish taking the decision of leaving. But I couln't take any more! Couldn't take any more bad examples from "above"! Couldn't take any more "silence" from above! and couldn' take any more lack of "professionalism" from above! I never have fun when I ... don't win (I hate the word so much that I try not to use it) And ...
