Hi, Comrade Commanders,
I am as tired of writting our Squad Rules, as you, "older" Members, must be of reading the countless repetitions you find (almost dayly) in our Squad chatroom.
I have thought about this and concluded that there is only one good solution: from now on, I'll welcome newcomers with one invitation to come here and read about our Rules. Those who accept this invitation will have the best opportunity to know our Rules and, if they want, discuss them. Those who think that a Squad can progress without a few basic Rules ... will be surprised by their own removal.
Our Official language.
The founders of our Squad are of Turkish nationality, but they new only too well that our Squad was going to have Members from all over the planet, different nationalities and, naturally, different mother languages.
If we are to understand each other, be able to request troops more clearly, understand orders (absolutely necessary in times of War), a.s.o., we need to use one common language, and the most popular one is ... ENGLISH!
Therefore, if you can't understand basic English, nor write basic sentences, if you have a Cyrilic or Arabic keyboard, please make us all one favour and ... look for another Squad.
Ideally, all Members should choose English in their game settings.
Activity.
SWC is one hell of a game, with a very interesting quality: you can play it without beeing online most of your time, but you MUST come online frequently, especially if you are a low HQ, because low upgrades are very quick to complete.
When you are a higher level HQ, when upgrades last for several days (or more then a week), then you'll be able to play the game efficiently even if you stay offline for hours.
Take my own example: once my starships take almost 2 hours to be "constructed" and even if I decide to make as many attacks as possible, I can be offline for 2 hours without any prejudice.
Anyhow, Comrades, rest assured that your game performance will be directly proportional to your activity level. And this is why I will remove players who are too inactive, as they will never perform at a level that may bring value to our Squad.
Troop DONATIONS/REQUESTS.
This is our basic Squad Rule: you MUST donate and request troops!
If you want to learn more about this subject, read my previous post about it.
Non donators are the worst possible kind of players, and you must know that I will remove you, with absolutelly no remorse, each time I witness you escaping one donation opportunity.
If you like to receive troops from your Comrades, but are unwilling to donate them your best troops (or the ones they ask for specifically), rest assured that your visit to our Squad will be very short!
Once you feel like some sort of a "lone ranger", please go and play elswere.
HQ "racers".
If your biggest motivtion in this game is to "find out" what happens when you upgrade your HQ (what new buildings/troops/weapons you may have), I assure you that you wont last long in the game, and your stay in our Squad will be very short.
By doing that, you'll be disgracing your game, and become a nuisance to our Squad, once your "apparent" progression wil, in fact, be a "regression", making our Squad weeker than it was before.
And if you visit all our Member's bases and find other signs of precocious HQ upgrading (you'll find several), don't ask me how come I tolerate those memberships.
I do, because I hope that those Comrades learn from this kind of mistake, and do not insist on it. Simultaniously, I hope all new Members learn from those Comrade's experience, and, as they witness their "medals crisis", understand that this Rule of ours has the most unselfish motivation.
Comrades,
I give you my Word of Honor that I'd never insist on these Squad Rules if I were not convinced that you'll be better players if you respect them.
Yes, you may say that these Squad Rules exist for your own protection, much more then protecting our Squad from your mistakes.
Adition # 1 (2018.01.05)
As I think that our Squad has to grow one step higher, I suggest you all start making more specific troop requests.
For example, I suggest you request:
1) "turret attacking", when you are on one attack streak; or
2) "anti infantry", if you are going to log out and prefer defensive reinforcements: or, as I usually do
3) "Speeder Bikes", if you prefer one "all round" kind of troops, that will do well in both ofensive and defensive battles.
I urge all Comrades to RESPECT specific requests and donate each other what you are asked, rather then what you prefer.
Have fun
